A lawyer and a journalist, Elena advises organizations in advocacy strategies with ethics & transparency. She is member of the board at the Transparency International in Spain, author of the blog Rincon the Transparencia at El Confidencial, an associate proffesor at the IE Business School and independent lecturer at various universities.

Elena was Head of international media relations at Garrigues. She worked as an investigative journalist and reporter in the United States and Spain, and her articles have been published on Forbes, The Tribune and el Confidencial. She worked with Nobel Laureate in Economics Joseph Stiglitz at his Columbia University think tank, The Initiative for Policy Dialogue, and as Visiting Scholar at the Northwestern University in Chicago.

She holds a law degree with honors from Universidad Complutense; a Master in Financial Markets at Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles; and a Master of Science in Journalism at Columbia University in New York. She is a PhD candidate at Universidad Complutense's School of Law.
