Carina Folkeson Lillo has been influencing EU policy on food, agriculture and trade from Brussels, Stockholm and Washington DC for over 12 years. Carina was previously Counselor to the EU for the Swedish government, negotiating in the Council of the EU on behalf of the Swedish government, and advising lead politicians. Before that she worked for several years for the European Commission, both based in Brussels and in Washington DC. She has also worked for the Swedish government in Stockholm. Currently, Carina is an associated researcher with CEIGRAM, linked to the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, carrying out projects and studies related to European policies, foremost in the areas of agriculture, climate and trade.

Carina holds a Master degree in International Economics from the University of Lund, Sweden (2005).
